Use antibiotics only as prescribed
Antibiotics treat bacterial infections and unnecessary or incorrect use contributes to antimicrobial resistance.
Use an antibiotic only when it has been prescribed for you for an appropriate infection, and take it exactly as directed. Do not share antibiotics, use someone else’s prescription or save leftovers for a future illness.
If you develop a serious reaction, worsening symptoms or have questions about the prescribed duration, contact the prescriber or pharmacist rather than changing treatment on your own.
